Testimonials
Prof. dr. Gerdien van Schaik
Former SVEPM President
Utrecht University & Royal GD, The Netherlands
Since I attended my first SVEPM conference in 1999 as a PhD student, I was hooked to the Society. I enjoy the friendly interactions with fellow researchers that inspire me. Hosting the conference and serving on the SVEPM Committee were the cherries on the cake. I recommend you to become an active member of the Society. You are very welcome!
Prof. dr. Simon More
Gareth Davies lecturer
University of Dublin, Ireland
I have been a member of SVEPM for 20 years now, and have attended most of the annual SVEPM conferences over that time. These conferences are a pleasure to attend, offering the chance to catch up with colleagues and to learn of the latest advances in veterinary epidemiology across Europe.
Dr. Brandon Hayes
SRUC 2022 prize winner
The National Veterinary School of Toulouse & INRAE, France
Thanks to SVEPM, I’ve been able to showcase my research to leading professionals in the veterinary
public health arena and develop a professional network spanning six continents. For both the cutting-
edge research and the comraderie, the annual conference is a must-attend for anyone in the field!
Dr. Damarys de las Nieves Montano Valle
George Gettinby bursary awardee
Centro Nacional de Sanidad Agropecuaria (CENSA), Cuba
I feel privileged to have been awarded the George Gettiby award. It gave me the opportunity to learn about the work and experiences in different fields of veterinary epidemiology in such diverse scenarios, with an excellent scientific programme where there was space for communication and scientific discussion in a very pleasant and close way among all those present, whether young, not so young, experienced or trainees.
Dr. Iryna Makovska
SVEPM bursary awardee
Ghent University, Belgium
I was thrilled by the organization’s high quality, top-notch speakers, valuable workshops, global knowledge exchange, support for young researchers, collaboration opportunities, and poster sessions for sharing experiences, and innovation. I am immensely grateful to SVEPM for granting me the opportunity to participate in this remarkable scientific event.
Dr. Hans-Hermann Thulke
SVEPM life member
Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ, Germany
Conferences are about meeting people. But at the SVEPM, you will be inspired by new ways of solving epidemiological problems. The SVEPM is the place where epidemiologists prepare themselves to help societies in animal health crises. Join the debate, present your work, share your knowledge at the annual conference and as a member of the Society.
