SVEPM will be offering two different types of bursary awards for SVEPM 2024, which will be held in Uppsala (Sweden) between the 20th and 22nd of March 2024.
Prof. George Gettinby award
In honour of the late Professor George Gettinby, a founding member of the society, SVEPM offers one conference bursary award to promote the participation of young researchers from Low and Middle Income Countries. The successful applicant can claim up to 1,200£ for travelling and accommodation costs. The conference registration fee will be covered by SVEPM.
SVEPM conference bursary awards
SVEPM is offering up to three bursary awards to young researchers. The bursaries aim to attract delegates from European countries that are not usually well represented at the conference or in the SVEPM membership. Therefore, the Society particularly welcomes applications from epidemiologists or veterinary public health professionals in eastern European and Mediterranean countries, although applications from other eligible candidates will be considered. The bursary covers accommodation and the conference registration fee.
The bursaries may be financed by the Society or by sponsors of the annual SVEPM conference.
